My Computer catches Fire?!?
So I was doing some research on why my north bridge seems to run at a constant 85 degrees and found out that people with my particluar model of board seem to have an issue where it catches fire under load.
This brings the alarm I had last night whilst encoding a movie (Maximum Load on CPU) and got an audible alarm into perspective. It was saying "Turn me off before I catch fire!'
Looks like I'm doing the video editing on this PC and the actual encoding on the server from here on in. Now to find out how to do that...
Huh.
tl;dr? Don't buy Gigabyte MA790-DS4 motherboard.
